Answer Page is nothing if not INVOLVED!

We are committed to our Rogue Valley neighbors, both people and businesses alike. In recent months, we’ve been getting around in the community through Greg Unger’s participation in the Chamber of Medford / Jackson County’s Leadership class and, last month, driving the Answer Page Cruiser in the Pear Blossom Parade. Check out our Facebook page for a community event listed every Friday and look for us to continue to sponsor events such as the Rod & Custom Show, Relay for Life and more. We are gearing up for this year’s participation in the Medford Relay for Life.

To find information about Medford’s Relay event, visit www.relayforlife.org and enter “Medford, Oregon” in the “Find Event” search box, or scan this QR code with your smartphone to go directly to the Medford event page.

I moved with my family to the Rogue Valley in 1985 and attended Eagle Point High School where I played volleyball and was on the dance cheer team. I That is also where I met my best friend and soon-to-be husband Norman.

I have worked at Answer Page for a little over a year, and plan to be here for many years to come. There is nothing more satisfying than being the voice on the other end of the line helping callers deal with whatever issue they may be going through. It is great to be working for an employer
that appreciates its employees. It makes me want to push that much harder and do that much better.

At Answer Page, not only did I find a great job, but I’ve made lifelong friends. When I am not at work, I’m probably hanging out with my best friend Rachel or relaxing with the family, usually chasing our daughter Zoey around. She’s a go-go baby for sure! I also love to go camping, and my boyfriend
and I are famous for our barbecues. We make the best chicken and potato salad in town!

Answer Page and the company’s owner Bill Anderberg are proud to support our local Boy Scouts of America, Crater Lake Council. Anderberg is a longtime supporter of the Scouts and the current Council President.

Over 5,700 of the youth in Southern Oregon and Northern California depend on the Boy Scouts of America, Crater Lake Council. Boy scouts teaches them positive values and prepares them with skills and moral integrity to meet the challenges of life in times of crisis and every day. These kids learn the courage to overcome life’s challenges with honor. They learn to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, and brave.

To help fund the organization and get more Scouts involved, the Crater Lake council of Boy scouts operates the Friends of Scouting campaign, which is designed to broaden Scouting’s base of financial support and tell the Council story on an annual basis. Friends of Scouting are the largest single source of funding for the programs of the Crater Lake council, raising 25% of the local Boy scouts’ annual budget.

Currently, the cost to deliver Scouting to local young people is $200 per youth, per year. However, through special events revenue and generous grants, the cost is lowered to $150 to support one scout for one year.

To find out more, or to enroll as a Friend of Scouting which will help pay for more Scouting opportunities for youth, go to www.craterlakecouncil.org. You can also contact Kevin Patterson, Boy Scouts of America/Crater Lake Council CEO/Scout Executive, at 541-664-1444 or kevin.patterson@scouting.org.

I have worked for the company off and on for 19 years. I first started when answer page was located on Central Avenue in downtown Medford in 1992. My favorite thing about working at answer page is the feeling I get knowing I help people every day. Bill Anderberg is a great man to work for, and I really enjoy the close team atmosphere. I have lived in the rogue valley most of my life and have raised three beautiful kids here. I also have a two-year-old granddaughter. In my spare time, I really enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and three dogs!

In a 2005 independent study*, results showed as many as seven out of 10 people were unwilling to leave a voice mail message for someone they were trying to reach. The number sounds high, but especially when you factor in the circumstance of a potential customer making contact for the first time, it’s far from unbelievable.

Turn the tables and imagine you’re currently relying on voicemail or an automated voice answering system to handle incoming calls to your business.

You’re probably choosing that alternative to save time, money or both, but you may be seriously underestimating the cost to your business if you’re losing seven out of every 10 potential customers.

Even if all seven of those calls missed by a voicemail system aren’t new business, consider the advantages of connecting dynamically with your contacts instead of having to go back and decipher their needs from the short messages they leave.

Better yet, what if you could continue to enjoy all the conveniences offered by voicemail (such as call screening and more time put toward your business itself), but with the added bonus of retaining every contact and receiving complete information in the mode that works best for you?

That’s exactly what you’ll get from Answer Page’s answering service. Need your calls screened? We are happy to do that. Need them forwarded to your cell phone? No problem. Prefer to receive your messages via e-mail instead of voicemail? We take care of all of these requests while making sure every one of your customers is attended to personally by one of our friendly customer service representatives. It’s what works best for you and what works best for your customers all rolled into one doubly valuable package. We say, “never miss a call again,” and trust us, you’ll never miss your voicemail either.

*Independent study data from http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/09/prweb290996.htm
